Memorise: Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. Jeremiah 23:24

Bible Reading: Psalms 139:7-12

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12 Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

Bible Reading In One Year: Ecclesiastes 4-6; 2 Corinthians 10:1-18

MESSAGE:

God is everywhere. There is no place on earth where anyone can hide from God. In today’s Bible readying, David was speaking from experience. After committing adultery with Uriah’s wife, Bathsheba, she got pregnant. He then planned with his Chief of Army Stall to kill Uriah. Uriah was killed at the battlefield then God sent Samuel to David to let him know that He saw all that he did.

It is unfortunate that some children in Godly homes go to school and become something different. Some will go to school and bear different names from what they are called at home. I have even heard of girls who don’t where jewelry, wear trousers and skimpy clothing at home but wear them in school. They do all these because they think that their parents are not there and they cannot see them. Well that may be true, but God is watching you. He sees everything. You better change before you go too deeply into that hidden sin today. Don’t be like David who kept going from one sin to another and when his sins came to limelight, he fasted thinking he could change God’s mind, but he failed. Repent today.

Action Point:

Resolve to only engage in acts that portray you as a child of God as from today

Hymn: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining everyday;
    Still praying as I onward bound
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Chorus:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith, on Heaven’s table-land;
Where love, and joy, and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

  1. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise, and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where these abound,
    My constant aim is higher ground.
  2. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
    To rest beneath unclouded skies,
    Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
    By those who dwell on higher ground.
  3. I long to scale the utmost height,
    Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
    My song while climbing, shall resound
    Lord, lead me on to higher ground.
  4. Lord, lead me up the mountain side
    I dare not climb without my Guide;
    And, heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
    With grateful heart from higher ground.
