Memorise: “As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent”. Revelation 3:19

Bible Reading: Revelation 3:19‭-‬20 (HCSB)

  1. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.
  2. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me.

Bible Reading In One Year: Jeremiah 27-28; 2 Timothy 4:1-22

MESSAGE:

Our Lord Jesus Christ is a perfect gentle being, He will never take what you don’t give Him. In Revelation 3:20 , He says He will only enter through the door you open to Him. in the same vein, in Deuteronomy 30:19, He gives you two options – life and death, yet, allows you to choose the option that best suits you. The Lord will give you reasons to obey Him, but then, He will not force you. It is however, rather unfortunate that some Christians will give God a part of their lives and then hold on to some parts. Some students would invite God into their academics just because they want to do well in that regard, but leave God out of their social life. Some others would leave God out of their choice of friends. This shouldn’t be. God expects that you give Him total control of every area of your life.

According to our text for today, there is a hindrance to the unique relationship that God desires with you as a result of you holding back. Any area of your life under self- government will hinder you from having the beautiful relationship that God wants to have with you.

Key Point:

When you hold back from God, you hold back from getting His best.

Hymn: Take My Life And Let It Be

1.Take my life and let it be
Consecrated Lord to thee
Take my moment and days
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2.Take my hands and let them move
At the impulse of thy love
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for thee

3.Take my voice and let me sing
Always only for my king
Take my lips and let them be
Filled with messages from thee.

4.Take my silver and my gold
Not a mite would I withhold
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as thou shalt choose.

5.Take my will and make it Thine,
It shall no longer be mine:
Take my heart, it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,

6.Take my love, my Lord, I pour
At They feet its treasure store;
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for thee
