Nigerians have been asked to make a good assessment of the uncommon efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan and re-elect him for another term in office.
Yomi Awoniyi Kogi State Deputy Governor gave the charge at the reception organized in honour of Madam Esther Alege Thomas held in Ogidi, Ijumu LGA.
Awoniyi urged the people to vote the PDP in all the forth coming general election, disclosing that beyond politics, Jonathan remains a President with several achievements to his credit.
Awoniyi enjoined the people of Ijumu in particular to vote for the PDP, disclosing that the area stands better placed to benefits from the Jonathan’s administration if re-elected.
Awoniyi said the establishment of ports in Lokoja and Idah, the Federal University in Lokoja, and several on going road projects especially the Kabba Egbe Road, calls for wise reasoning especially for people of Kogi State to support the re election of President Jonathan.
In his words, “the opposition parties have told so much lies in the last few weeks. This President has done much than others who had the opportunity to rule this country. It is my appeal that Nigerians vote wisely, a vote that will ensure continuity and stability of the country by voting for President Jonathan and all the PDP candidates in the next week’s general election.
Awoniyi described late Madam Esther as a woman who placed community service as her watchword, urged the family she left behind to take solace in the good works of service to the community their mother lived.
Awoniyi disclosed that the Governor Idris Wada’s administration has placed value of value re orientation, called on parents to educate and train their children to be responsible citizens in the society.
