The Kogi State Governor, Capt Idris Wada says his administration will spare no effort in making education the flagship of the present administration in the state.

Capt Idris Wada made the remarks at the funeral mass held in honor of Late Mama. Grace Ologbondiyan, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Kabba, Kogi State.

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, urged the family of Mama Ologbodiyan to be consoled in the meaning she gave to life through her service to God, said the life of her children shows that she brought  them up with love and discipline.

The Governor appealed to parents in this period of the nation’s life ensure that their children acquire good education, laced with discipline and hard work, which he maintains remains the watchwords of every responsible society. The Governor said the society more than ever before requires children who will be true leaders that will take the nation to its desired heights, warned youths not be allowed to be use as political thugs.

Capt Wada, said his administration’s efforts at equipping the youths is hinged on the need to equip the youths for the task ahead, commended late Mama Ologbondiyan for raising her children to be positive contributors to the socio economic development of the country.

In a sermon, Rev Fr Joseph Tolurunshagba, said the world is a market place, said the positive impact of man life while on earth is what matters to God, called on christians to live marks of service to God and to man.

The Clergy man berates the present pursuit of money and material things by man, said man has lost the essence of life, urged man to return to God as a means of enjoying God’s eternal rewards.
The Clergyman appealed to christians to be concerned about what will be said after their demise, described Late Grace Ologbondiyan as a woman who used her stay on earth to serve God.

In a remarks at the funeral, Kola Ologbondiyan, son of the deceased, and Special Adviser Media to the Senate President, described the passing away of his mother as a sad loss, said their late mother will be remembered for the virtues of hard work, perseverance, contentment, honesty and sincerity she taught her children. Mr Kola assured that the lessons of sacrifice which captures the essence of their late mother’s life will be imbibed by those she left behind.
