Topic: Juggling With Your Soul? [06/11/2016]
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36-37. Read: Heb 9:27
In his classic message titled “Your soul”, Evangelist Billy Graham told a story of a famous juggler who made a big fortune. He saved all his life savings in a diamond and decided to retired to his hometown. While he boarded a ship, he found a boy throwing two oranges, he decide to throw the oranges with him. Seeing that he was good at it, crowd gathered to watch him. It entered his head and decided to bring out his diamond that contains his life savings and threw it up and caught it. He threw it again and caught it again. He said I can throw it out of sight, the crowd shouted, no, don’t throw it, it’s all you’ve got your whole life. He threw it, just as he was about to catch it, the diamond sparkled and just as he was about to catch it the ship lodged, he lost his life savings forever.
The same way many of us are juggling with our souls. We play gamble with the world through exchange of our soul thinking that one day, we would make it right with God, but many lost the rest to their soul. Your soul is your life. It’s that important part of your life that continue living after you drop off the physical body that house it. The saving of your soul from eternal condemnation depends on your cooperation with God through Jesus. God wants you saved not perished. Stop juggling with your soul.
