A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Leaving All For Christ [10/10/2016]

And he left all, rose up, and followed him. Luke 5:28. Read: Matt 19:27-29

The call to Christianity is a call to total abandonment of the world and its activities. Trhere must be a total separation and absolute detachment from friendship with the world because friendship with the world is enmity with God. Christians must leave all to follow Jesus all the way. our bible verse says, And he left all, rose up, and followed him. Looking back after being called into heavenly race, draws us backwards and disqualifies us. Brother Matthew did not bother to consider his achievements (like lot’s wife did and lost her life), he left all and followed Jesus. When you leave for the sake of Christ doesn’t mean you lose all, but you will gain hundred percent of what you left for Christ sake. In the christian race, you must leave all to gain all. You can’t leave all for Christ sake and go bankrupt, no, not at all.

Almost discouraged, Peter asked Jesus, Matt  19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? Read the profound answers Jesus gave Peter in verse 28 and 29. Billy Graham said, “there is no man that gave his life to Christ that ever regret it”. The rewards (whether this life or life to come) are always tremendous. Dare to leave all for Christ sake?
