BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 3-5
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Exodus 12:1-13 (KJV)
1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The MESSAGE:
Today’s devotional lesson is devoted to the mystery of victory, through the blood of Jesus. There is power in the blood of Jesus. When you plead the blood of Jesus before you sleep, you have protected yourself. No demon will be able to touch you because of the power in the blood of Jesus. And when we sing songs based on the blood of Jesus, we are singing powerful songs, because the blood is responsible for our redemption, forgiveness, cleansing, justification and sanctification.

One small girl of about two years did not know how to sing any other song apart from “There is power, there is power, there is power in the blood of Jesus.” She sang this song both day and night.
One day, something interesting happened. Her mother washed the girl’s underwear and hung it outside to dry. Soon after, the wind blew it into the house of a herbalist. Immediately it got there, everything that the herbalist had put on the wall fell off. He was scared; and began to recite incantations to stop the attack that turned his house upside down, thinking that something had come to attack him. He tried to pick up the underwear several times, but he felt some shocking sensations in his body, and so he stopped. He tried to use a stick to pick the underwear but he still felt the sensations. He decided to pour fetish oil on everything in his house to prevent the underwear from affecting them. He then started crying because he had never witnessed such a strange occurrence in his life. He then wondered aloud: “What sort of power is this? How can they attack people with underwear?” As soon as she child’s mother discovered that her daughter’s underwear was missing, she started to inquire from neighbours if they had seen it. The herbalist overheard her and then told her that it must be the one in his house. On getting there, the woman recognised the underwear as that of her child. But, as she tried to pick it up, the herbalist screamed, warning her not to touch it. He told her that he had tried in vain to pick the mysterious object. As he argued with the woman, the little girl came into the herbalist’s house and simply picked up her underwear and went away. The herbalist stood dumbstruck.
This incident shows the mysterious power in the blood of Jesus. The little girl confessed the blood so much that its power has thoroughly soaked her underwear. The sight of the blood of Jesus frightens the enemy. Beloved, when your life is enveloped by the blood of Jesus, your victory is undeniable.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Every pollution done to my spiritual life and health by the serpent, be cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
- Every serpentine manipulation upon my health, be frustrated and rendered impotent, in the name of Jesus.
- All you serpents, I command you to vomit my prosperity, health, marriage, finances and spiritual strength that you have swallowed, in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
EVENING
- I tread upon all serpents and scorpions, they cannot harm me, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the bullet from heaven kill every serpent of death, in the name of Jesus.
- I cut every soul tie with any serpentine spirit, in the name of Jesus.
- I excise the poison and venom of the scorpions and serpents from my flesh, in Jesus’ name.
