TOPIC: The Lord’s Great Commission (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 19 May 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Chronicles 7-9; John 6:22-44

MEMORY VERSE: “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” – Psalms 68:11

The MESSAGE:

Our Lord Jesus gave a great commission to His disciples to go and preach the gospel to all nations and creatures. He rose from the dead and was about to ascend to His Father in heaven, He then told them to go and tell the people of the world how He died and rose again, for man to be saved. Today the Lord is still giving the same commission to every child of God to go and preach the gospel.

This commission of ‘go ye’ is for the salvation and redemption of mankind which makes it great. Jesus died to save the sinners and the perishing souls. When these sinners hear the good news, they will call upon the Lord and repent of their sins, and then they will be saved. If this great command is not obeyed, many sinners will die and go to hell. There are many ways to fulfil this great command of the love of Christ.

  1. By telling your friends and colleagues what the Lord has done in your life and how He saved you.
  2. By sharing out tracts to people anywhere you are.
  3. By praying for souls that are perishing, and by inviting them to fellowship with you in church.

If you have repented of your sins and are washed in His blood, this commission is for you. The Lord commanded all saved souls (those who have left their sins) to go preach the gospel. Are you preaching the gospel today? Do you wait for only evangelism day to do that? A sinner cannot preach the gospel. It is you and I who have received salvation. You must repent and go and tell others about the love of Christ. Talk to a soul about the love of Christ today.

 The Lord shall greatly empower you as you make His love known to the world.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Father, I thank You for giving us Your Son as a sacrificial Lamb, in the name of Jesus.
  2. O Lord, give me the heart that has compassion for the lost, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Lord Jesus help me to obey Your command of preaching the gospel, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Power to be a good example for my world, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
  5. My life will not be the cause for people to fall, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Lord save me from sinking in the sea of life, in the name of Jesus.
  7. O Lord, anchor my head to Your mercy, in the name of Jesus.
