The MESSAGE:
Today’s devotional study is a call to watchfulness for all who have ears to hear.
A certain sister employed a nanny. Anytime the nanny was bathing the child, the child would be screaming his head out, even after the bath too, he would continue to cry for almost an hour. One day, the sister prayed on this strange incident and the Lord opened her eyes and she found that the nanny was pouring pepper spiritually into the water that she was using in bathing the child. It was then that she knew what was wrong. Beloved, if you want to employ a houseboy, be vigilant. If you want to drink tea and you don’t know where it comes from, be vigilant. If you want to put anything in your mouth, be vigilant. If you want to go to any party, be vigilant. It is not compulsory for you to honour every invitation, as many of them may be satanic traps.

Beloved, you must be sober and be vigilant. “Be vigilant”, for the devil, your adversary, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. If you notice that the time you spend in praying is reducing or that your Bible reading no longer makes sense or you find that fasting is becoming a problem for you or that going to church is no more enjoyable to you anymore, you better shake yourself loose and start praying because “the devil, your adversary, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.” Don’t walk into his network. Don’t court his friendship and don’t associate with his agents.
The reason he is seeking whom he may devour is because he cannot devour everybody. There are some people he cannot touch. The Bible says, “Christians, seek not yet repose, hear your guardian angel say, thou art in the midst of foes, watch and pray.” Watch. Pray. Be alert. It is only by doing so, that you shall exclude yourself from the company of the easily and naively enticed preys of the devil.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Every evil altar, prepared against my breakthroughs in the heavenlies and in the sea, be dismantled by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- I break satanic powers in the heavenly places, on the land, and in the waters, in the name of Jesus.
- By all the power, by which you are known to be God, O Lord, answer my prayer, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Dark covenants with powers in the heavenlies, break, in Jesus’ name.
- Woe unto the powers bragging and boasting against my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
- I establish the power of God upon you, o earth, bless my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
- Every power drawing power from the heavenlies against me, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
