BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 35-36; 2 Peter 1
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 24:4-13
MEMORY VERSE: “And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”- Matthew 10:22
The MESSAGE:
One essential quality that a believer’s faith should have is that it should be enduring. The reason for this is that we are in the last days and the perilous times the Bible foretold are already here. The love of many has already waxed cold and many people are lovers of themselves, rather than lovers of God and iniquity is waxing stronger in the hearts of men and in many nations. The elects need faith that endures so that they are not swept off their feet by the currents of evil of this untoward generation and age.

In Matthew 24, Jesus graphically explained the events that would herald His second coming. The Bible calls it the signs of the age. One of the signs is that there would be a lot of drifting away and falling away. The enemy will intensify his evil activities to ensure that many careless and disobedient fellows go into perdition. That is why Jesus began with the statement, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” The enemy will lie to many, deceive them and lure them out of the faith. You must keep your faith and not allow that to happen to you. Jesus foretold the rise of many false Christs. That has happened. He predicted that there would be wars and rumours of wars. That has been fulfilled. Nations are rising against nations and there are famines, pestilences and earthquakes. Brotherly love is no longer as it should be, iniquity abounds and the love of many have waxed cold. Jesus added that in spite of all these, those who endure unto the end shall be saved. It means that those who lack the power, grace and faith to endure to the end shall falter, fail or fall and end up in hell fire. That will not be your portion, in the name of Jesus. Only those who endure to the end shall be adjudged victorious. Only these shall be said to have finished well.
What does it mean to endure to the end? It is to say no to apostacy (turning away from faith), in spite of persecution of the pains of the end time. It is to stand firm in faith and to look unto Jesus for strength, grace and the power to keep doing God’s will. Beloved, it is not possible for anyone to endure to the end in his own power. The grace to finish well or endure to the end is available in Christ. Therefore, new birth is necessary. You must give your life to Christ and make Him your Lord and Saviour. You must also be baptised with the Holy Spirit and fire. When you have new birth and the Holy Spirit, persecution may come, you will not surrender. Famine and pestilence and several works of the enemy will not be able to stop you.
Beloved, the enemy is determined to stop many people. He does not want anyone to finish well. Do not be ignorant of his devices. Give him no place and no foothold in your life. We are indeed in the closing moments of the age and all the signs have been fulfilled. I pray that God will give you the grace to endure to the end. Your faith will not fail and you will finish well, in Jesus’ name.

5 Spirit of the end time, I am not your candidate, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
6 My faith will not fail, in the name of Jesus.
7 Father, increase my faith and help me to serve You to the end, in the name of Jesus.
