TOPIC: The Resurrection And Life (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 12 April 2021)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 15-17
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 15:50-58
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
The death that Jesus died, He died to sin, once for all. But the life He lived, He lived to God.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
LET EVERY GOOD THING THAT IS DEAD IN YOUR LIFE RECEIVE LIFE NOW, IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
The MESSAGE:
Jesus made the emphatic statement that He is the Resurrection and the Life. By this statement, He identified Himself as the Source of life. He was also making this statement referring to His divine nature. Jesus does more than giving life. The amazing truth is that death has no power over Him. Jesus also confers this spiritual life on those who believe in Him, so that they share eternal life with Him and triumph over death. Jesus gave us life that is impossible to defeat by the devil and death. Jesus also proved this fact by bringing Lazarus who was dead for four days back to life. This shows death has no dominion over Jesus and those who belong to Him. He promised that because He lives, you will also live if you genuinely believe and belong to Him.

As Jesus asked Martha at the time of Lazarus death (John 11:23-25), He is asking you today. Do you really believe in Jesus? Do you know Him as the Resurrection and Life?
Jesus loves you and me as revealed in His Word (John 1:14-16). He reveals Himself as the only Son of the Father; He gives us the grace not only to live, but to live eternally. Don’t measure the love of God for you by how much health and wealth and comfort He brings into your life. Rather, measure it by the unquantifiable love of God for you. Whatever is dead in your life can be brought back by Him that has power over death. Jesus made the dead son of the widow of Nain to come back to life. The widow’s joy was restored and her tears wiped away. Jesus can do the same for you. He is still in the business of bringing life out of death. Halleluyah! God’s love to you is a gift of eternal life at the cost of His Son, Jesus.
The essence of eternal life is to know God the Father and Jesus His only Son, and the greatness of this love increases in proportion to the greatness of His glory. Jesus however says, in John 14:21 that whoever has His commandments and keeps them is he who loves Him. Do you love Jesus?
The love of God is the gift of His glorious self. Since Jesus gave you Himself, be sure to sincerely obey, trust and follow Him. He will surely give you all things. Above all, He will give you eternal life. It is in Him and through Him that we shall all pass through death to life at the end of ages.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- O Lord, deliver me from the bondage of sin and hell, in the name of Jesus.
- O Lord, teach me deep and secret things, in the name of Jesus.
- The Resurrection and Life, Jesus Christ, make Yourself real in my life, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- O Lord, give me divine wisdom to serve You to the end, in the name of Jesus.
- I remove my name from the list of hell fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Holy Spirit, reveal deep and secret things to me, in the name of Jesus.
- Let every dead thing in my life receive the Resurrection power of God, in the name of Jesus.
