BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Hebrews 11-13
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 13:10; 2 Kings 6:15-23 (KJV)
Genesis 13:10; Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
2 Kings 6:15-23;
15 And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do?
16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.
17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.
18 And when they came down to him, Elisha prayed unto the LORD, and said, Smite this people, I pray thee, with blindness. And he smote them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.
19 And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
20 And it came to pass, when they were come into Samaria, that Elisha said, LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see. And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and, behold, they were in the midst of Samaria.
21 And the king of Israel said unto Elisha, when he saw them, My father, shall I smite them? shall I smite them?
22 And he answered, Thou shalt not smite them: wouldest thou smite those whom thou hast taken captive with thy sword and with thy bow? set bread and water before them, that they may eat and drink, and go to their master.
23 And he prepared great provision for them: and when they had eaten and drunk, he sent them away, and they went to their master. So the bands of Syria came no more into the land of Israel.

The MESSAGE:
What the enemy does in the lives of people depends on the personal attitude of the victims. Those who close their spiritual eyes ignorantly, end up as demonic casualties. But those who have discovered the mystery of open eyes will end up as overcomers in life’s battles as discussed in the story below.

Sometime ago, we had a powerful meeting which we accompanied with a three-day dry fasting. The meeting was for people who desired spiritual gifts. Such meetings were usually started with a prayer point like: “O Lord, give me the spirit of prophecy.” On that very day, we prayed so hard that most people who attended that meeting began to prophesy. There was one particular sister whose eyes were opened by the Lord for the first time. I saw that, occasionally the sister would look back and quickly turn her face again to the front. Apparently, she was seeing something. When we ended the service, she came to me and said, “Excuse me sir, immediately we started prayer, one giant man in a white garment was standing at our back with his face shining like fire.” I knew immediately that she had seen the angel of the living God. As this same sister was going home, she decided to visit one of her friends who happened to be her prayer partner. When she got there, her friend served her food which she rejected since she wanted to break her fast at home. She looked into the eyes of her friend and discovered that there was no black pupil inside them. Everything was white. She was very surprised because that was somebody she had been praying with for six years. When God opened her eyes, she discovered that she had been praying with her enemy.
Beloved, the prayer that you must pray today is, “O Lord, open my eyes that I may see.” When God opens your eyes, you will discover that you are surrounded by a host of angelic beings.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise and deliver me from the power of the oppressors, in the name of Jesus.
- Every evil hand assigned to be oppressing me, be cut off by fire, in the name of Jesus.
- Every load of oppression in my life, go back to your senders, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Let the Spirit of God lift up a standard against every oppression fashioned against my life, in the name of Jesus.
- Every kingdom of oppression assigned against my life, scatter unto desolation, in the name of Jesus.
- Every word of oppression spoken against my life, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
