Proverbs 6:16-19
16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:

MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
Yesterday, we discussed a heart that devises evil imaginations. Today, we will look at feet that are swift in running to evil which is the result of a filthy heart. After thinking of evil in your heart, the next step is to carry it out.
Feet that are swift in running to evil refers to people who are eager to carry out mischief. These people rejoice at every opportunity to do wicked things. Unlike the psalmist who said, “I was glad when they said unto me, ‘Let us go into the house of the Lord” (Psalm 122:1), these people are glad when an opportunity arises to do the work of the devil.
Eagerness to do evil is the product of an unbroken heart and a spirit that is not yielded to God.

Saul of Tarsus had feet that were quick to do evil before his conversion. The people who stoned Stephen to death kept their garments at his feet (Acts 7:58). He was willing to keep their clothes while they did an evil thing. He also went from house to house, eagerly casting Christians into prison (Acts 8:3). Thank God he was divinely interrupted on his way to Damascus (Acts 9).
A man who is not in Christ will be found engaging in evil. Unfortunately, some Christians are also found in the way of evil because they are not yielding to the Holy Spirit. Any believer who thinks he/she knows more than God will definitely fall into the trap of the devil. If you find yourself very quick to defame others, or to carry out an evil assignment, it means your feet are swift to evil.
Beloved, the stand of the Bible is clear – God hates feet that are swift to do evil. Examine your life today. Are you the one people come to when they want to do bad things? Or, are you the one who mobilises people for an evil cause? Do you carry out plans of pulling another person down? All those who are involved in the things God hates will not escape the judgement of God. Repent today!
PRAYER POINTS:

- O Lord, my Father, give me beautiful feet, in the Name of Jesus.
- I reject every spirit of mischief, in the Name of Jesus.
- I refuse to yield myself as an agent of evil, in the Name of Jesus.

- Feet that are swift to evil assigned against me, be stopped, in the Name of Jesus.
- O Lord, let Your words light up my path, in the Name of Jesus.
- Holy Spirit, lead me in the way of righteousness, in the Name of Jesus.
- My feet, hear the Word of the Lord, you will not run to evil, in the Name of Jesus
