TOPIC: Choices And Consequences (2) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Devotional 8 November 2026)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Ezekiel 20, Ezekiel 21, 2 Corinthians 4, 2 Corinthians 5.
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 13:5-18 (KJV)
5 And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
6 And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
7 And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
8 And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.
9 Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.
10 And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
11 Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.
12 Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.
14 And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
15 For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
16 And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.
17 Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee.
18 Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Lord.
MEMORY VERSE: Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. – Galatians 6:7 (KJV)

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY: Today, you will make a wise decision that will turn your life around for good, in the name of Jesus.
MFM Devotional For Today 2026 MESSAGE:
Beloved, be prayerful and cautious when making decisions. Every decision you make can make or mar your destiny. Some decisions and actions look trivial and unimportant, but they often have big consequences good or bad. Godly choices always bring blessings. When David decided to confront Goliath while the trained soldiers of Israel were cringing in fear, little did he know that the small decision would change the course of his life favourably and permanently. That decision brought him out of obscurity and ushered him into limelight. It set the tone for the fulfilment of his destiny and his place in eternity. Solomon, out of his deep love for God, decided to offer Him a thousand burnt offerings. God visited him in the night and blessed him with wisdom and riches above all kings in his time. Decisions and actions that promote heaven’s agenda on earth will bring you untold blessings from God. Whenever you are making decisions or taking an action, ask yourself, “Will it please God and bless His work?” If it will, you should be assured of positive consequences or rewards.

When Jesus requested to use Peter’s boat to preach, Peter decided to give it to him. He did not regret that decision and action. His numerous hours of profitless hardwork was replaced by a net-breaking and ship-sinking catch. In addition, Jesus told him, “Follow me. I will make you a fisher of men.” That was Peter’s defining moment. How did all this start? Peter gave his ship to Jesus to use.
Beloved, it is important that you take decisions that will have positive outcomes for your life here and in eternity. It is also important to note that your godly decision and action will have bearing on your children and grandchildren. Abraham, Peter, David and other Bible heroes who walked with God left great legacies for their forebears! Let us be as Joshua was and declare, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Always remember to make godly decisions and take godly actions. You and your descendants will reap godly fruits!
