TOPIC: Effective Prayer (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Monday, 16 April 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 15:7-9
MEMORY VERSE:
“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” – James 5:16b
The MESSAGE:
For prayer to produce the desired result, it must be effective. Not all prayers are effective. The Scripture clearly states that only effectual prayers produce results. Any prayer made which isn’t effective is like shooting arrows without hitting the target. Ineffective prayer leads to unanswered prayer. Continous unanswered prayer damages your faith. You tend to give up on prayer totally, believing God doesn’t answer prayers. Hence you must know what it means to pray effectively.
Effective prayer is prayer based upon the word of God. Imagine prayer to be a gun, the bullets of the gun is the word of God. Without the word of God, the gun of prayer will not bring out any bullet. This is what is referred to as ineffective prayer. To make your prayer effective, you have to know the word. You have to know what the word of God says concerning the situation you are praying about. If you pray from what you think or feel, it will be ineffective. The Scripture says God will see to His word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). God responds unfailingly to His word. When you pray with the knowledge of the word, all of heaven backs you up. You must also believe the word. When you know and believe the word concerning any issue, you can then pray effectively. It is God’s desire that His children bear fruit in prayer. Bearing fruit in prayer is getting answers to prayer. When you bear fruit in prayer God is glorified. We give glory to Him for answered prayers. And for this to happen, you must pray effectively.
Do you have a situation to pray about? Find out what the word of God says concerning that situation. Believe and pray with that word and the Lord shall surely answer your prayer.

You should also approach heaven with a specific request in mind because heaven is like a supermarket where you must pick something with the hand of faith.

Your prayers shall bring to manifestation every of your blessings hanging in the spiritual realm.

1. O Lord, show me Your will that I may pray rightly, in Jesus’ name.
2. Holy Spirit, empower me to stand on the promises of God, in the name of Jesus.
3. Lord Jesus, cleanse my heart of any doubtful thought, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. My faith grows stronger as I meditate on God’s word, in Jesus’ name.
5. My mind, be filled with pure, lovely and praise-worthy thoughts, in Jesus’ name.
6. Arrow of discouragement, you shall not hinder answers to my prayers. Go back to your sender, in Jesus’ name.
7. Arrow of depression, you shall not hinder answers to my prayers. Go back to your sender, in Jesus’ name.
