TOPIC: Wholeness Is Better (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Wednesday, 13 June 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 17:12-19
MEMORY VERSE: “And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” – Luke 17:19
The MESSAGE:
Wholeness involves all of our being; we must recognise we have three aspects of being –body, soul and spirit. The body is the way in which we relate to our environment. We also have five senses of sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. We live in a physical shelter that allows us to interact with the physical world. We have a soul, (the seat of our mind, will, emotions and consciousness. Though we cannot see the soul, we know it is part of us. It is our means of relating with other people. At the soul level, we can express our love for others; we can be jealous, angry, and bitter towards others. The soul is the seat of our choices.
We also have a spirit, which is our inner man. With the spirit we can relate to the Almighty God. Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden with perfect bodies, souls and spirit. God placed them to have dominion over the physical world, and they lived in perfect harmony with each other and with God.
However, God warned about a particular tree in the Garden of Eden: “But of the tree of the knowledge of Good and evil thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die.” (Genesis 2:17). Unfortunately, they disobeyed God. They ate and they died. It was not their bodies that died but their spirit man. They remained alive for hundreds of years. Not their soul, because they related with each other and to their children. What really died was their capacity to relate with the Almighty God spiritually.
Our sinful state is a state of inner death. A person may be very well in the physical realm (body) and even be doing quite well in the soul realm but unless a person is in right relationship with God through Christ Jesus, he is dead in the spirit realm. Only a true believer in Christ Jesus has the potential to be a whole person, unless the spirit is made alive in Christ, the spirit facet of a person is not in sync with the rest of his/her being.
The 10 lepers were all cleansed of their leprosy but they did not establish a relationship with the God who cleansed them except one who was a stranger. The Samaritan who came back to Jesus having received cleansing fell down on his face to worship the Lord (Luke 17:15) thereby acknowledging the Lordship of Jesus. If you received God’s miracle without a relationship with God, you have just received a gift from the Giver but not a friend of the Giver. Try to be God’s friend today.

By the power in the blood of Jesus, receive wholeness in life.

MORNING
1. Lord Jesus, lover of my soul, have mercy on me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every leprosy in my life, receive cleansing by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
3. Agenda of darkness against my wholeness, scatter, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
4. Lord Jesus, I acknowledge You as my Lord and Saviour, in the name of Jesus.
5. Lord Jesus, I surrender the totality of my life to You, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God my Father, save me and I shall be saved, in the name of Jesus.
7. Holy Spirit, incubate my life, in the name of Jesus.
