Lagos, Nigeria: Leading technology giant, Microsoft is partnering with Dynamiss Digital Learning Solutions Limited, a teaching and learning digital solutions company and Learning Possibilities, the largest learning solutions provider in United Kingdom, officially launch the anticipated LP+365 learning solution.

The learning solution, which was unveiled at “The Future of Learning” Conference held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the prestigious Civic Centre, V.I, Lagos offered attendees the opportunity to access free Microsoft Teaching, with technology training hosted by the Microsoft Nigeria Education team.

In his welcome address, Public Sector Director, Microsoft Nigeria, Hakeem Adeniji-Adele enlightened attendees on the evolution in education.

“The future of learning and innovation is in this room! Somewhere outside this room- the next unimaginable, unpredictable innovation is about to arrive and transform education all over again. Therefore, what happened here is democratizing education or the 21st century.

Speaking on the solution and the need to improve learning in Nigeria, Chief Executive Officer, Dynamiss Digital Learning Solutions Limited, Roland Sodeinde, explained that the world is changing, hence the need for a collaborative learning which enables students to work together in the classroom and outside of the classroom.

“The LP+365 digital learning classroom solution is a cloud-based learning platform which transforms the Microsoft Office365 into a school’s virtual learning environment, enabling teachers to design and plan the curriculum, deliver subject material, manage coursework and communicate with learners using simple drag and drop technology. Commenting on Leveraging Technology Skills to succeed in the Digital Age, Hon Commissioner for Education, Anambra State, Prof Kate Azuka Omenugha explained that in the 21st century, students must be fully engaged, and this requires the use of technological tools and resources, involvement with interesting and relevant projects, and learning environments.

“During the last decade Nigeria has prioritized technology in education, though recording uneven progress in states and among schools. Over the years we have realized that there are different technology investment levels nationwide, and soon, I am quite sure we will get there.”
