Memorise: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. – 1 Corinthians 2:16

Read: Philippians 2:5-8

  1. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
  2. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
  3. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
  4. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Bible In One Year: Amos 1-3; Revelation 5:1-14

MESSAGE:

Today’s Bible reading talks about how Jesus Christ came to the world in form of a man to fulfill the assignment God gave Him. He spent his years on earth in humility and complete obedience to God. God in return, lifted Him and gave Him a name that everything on earth and heaven must bow to. Isn’t that amazing? As a born again Christian teenager who has the Spirit of God, you surely have the mind of Christ. In other words, you are expected to think, talk and act like Jesus.

Jesus never hated His neighbours, plotted evil or became jealous or envious of anyone. Jesus occupied His mind with the things of God (John 2:17 ) and Christians should emulate Him (Colossians 3:2 ). What are the things you are thinking of that you know Jesus will not be proud of? Surrender all your thoughts to Him and ask Him to renew your mind today. If you are not born again, you cannot have the mind of Christ. So, are you born again? Today is not too late. Ask Jesus into your heart now and never go back to your sins so that you can have the mind of Christ.

Action Point:

Daily renew your mind through Gods word.

Hymns: I’m Pressing On The Upward Way

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining every day;
    Still praying as I onward bound,
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground”.

Chorus:
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
By faith on heaven’s table-land;
Where love and joy and light abound,
Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.

  1. My heart has no desire to stay,
    Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where these abound,
    My constant aim is higher ground.
  2. Beyond the mist I fain would rise,
    To rest beneath unclouded skies,
    Above earth’s turmoil peace is found
    By those who dwell on higher ground.
  3. I long to scale the utmost height,
    Though rough the way, and hard the fight,
    My song while climbing shall resound
    Lord lead me on to higher ground.
  4. Lord lead me up the mountain side,
    I dare not climb without my Guide;
    And heaven gained, I’ll gaze around,
    With grateful heart from higher ground.
