Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday said the Senate received a different version of the 2016 Budget from the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters, Ita Enang, a few days after the budget was declared “missing”.

Saraki however announced during plenary that the Senate will only accept the version of the budget that was earlier submitted by the President.

“We came to a resolution that since we have 2 versions of the budget we will only accept the one presented by President Buhari.”

“The budget was never missing. While the President submitted one, the Special Adviser presented another one. Hence reason for investigation,” Saraki added.
