MESSAGE TOPIC: GETTING THE MOST OUT OF THE WORD OF GOD

SERVICE OBJECTIVE: Understanding what to do to get the most out of the Word of God.
The Word of God is loaded with benefits for the child of God (Isa. 48:17; Ps. 119:162; 12:6)
The Word of God is likened to precious treasure; It is a Container of treasure (Col. 2:3)
The Word of God will do for you what money can’t do; the Word of God will do for you what no human connection can do.
The Word of God will do for you what your expertise, certificate, talent and skill can’t do for you (Luke 5:4-5)
WHAT TO DO TO GET THE MOST OUT OF THE WORD OF GOD:
1 Desperate pressure for light or insight (Luke 5:1,3)
The treasures of the Word of God respond to the pressures of the heart of man.
Insight is a product of interest.
2 The attitude of excitement and expectancy (Ps. 119:162; Isa. 12:3; Acts 17:11)
Revelation answers to readiness of mind
What you expect determines what you experience
What you look out for determines what you locate out of life
There can be no inspiration in depression
3 The attitude of meekness (Jam. 1:21; Ps. 25:9; Num. 12:3; 1Cor. 15:9-10)
Meekness refers to teachability
At times, teachability may seem like stupidity, but the stupidity of teachability is better than the mentality of rascality because rascality will always end in calamity.
Insight into the Word of God will take you far.
Naughtiness is the doorway to nothingness in life.
Teachability that looks like stupidity is what will give you authority and notoriety in life.
It is foolish to be shameful of what is gainful – Bishop David Oyedepo.
4 The avoidance of familiarity with the Word (Ps. 19:2; Lam. 3:22-23; Col. 2:3)
God has something new to say everyday and everything about God is new everyday.
Never feel too familiar with Scripture as familiarity breeds contempt and contempt blocks insight.
5 Partnership with the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 2:9-10; John 17:17; 2Pet. 1:20-21)
i. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth (John 17:17)
ii. The Holy Spirit is our spiritual Guide, Compass and Navigator (1Cor. 2:9-10)
iii. The Holy Spirit is the Author of the Bible (2Pet. 1:20-21)
6 Practical action on the Word (Jam. 1:22, 25; Mark 4:24; Phil. 4:16-19)
Anytime you arrive at a Scripture, ask God what you are to do with that Scripture
EXAMPLE OF SCRIPTURAL ACTION:
‘If you love Me and you line up with My purpose for your life, whatever goes on around you, will have a pleasant and favourable outcome’ (Rom. 8:28)
ACTION POINTS:
i. Love the Lord
ii. Line up with God’s purpose for your life.
Whenever God sees that you discover your role, document it and follow it up, He will show you more
7 Walking in uprightness (Jam. 1:21; Ps. 97:11; 112:4)
Until filthiness is put away, light can never be accessed
Righteousness is doorway to ‘lighteousness’
You cannot be crooked and be lighted
COUNSEL:
1 Apply yourself to the secrets you have just received
2 Permanently identify actionable points
PRAYERS:
Father, I receive the grace for desperate pressure, the attitude of excitement and expectancy; the grace for meekness, the grace never to be familiar with The Word, the grace to partner with the Holy Spirit, the grace to take practical action on the Word, and the grace to walk in uprightness, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, in the Name of Jesus, let the Day of Vengeance answer to its Name, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, give us pre-vengeance night testimonies, oh Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
PRAYERS FOR BARBERS AND STYLISTS:
Father, touch these Your children and use them to influence and impact their generation. Draw them closer to You and use them Lord to draw others close to You, in Jesus’ Name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS FOR BARBERS AND HAIR STYLISTS:
- May the Lord draw You closer to Him and cause His purpose in your life to be fulfilled
-May He use you to draw others closer to Himself - God shall take you to the top of your career
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- I don’t know what has followed you all your life, today is the end of that affliction!
- Anything attached to you r life and destiny that is not profitable, today, they are disconnected!
- The encounter that will set you free and cause your release to the next level, that encounter will happen this week!
- Every household enemy against your destiny, your family’s destiny and the destiny of this nation, if they don’t repent, they shall be laid to rest!
- Anything standing between you and where God wants you to be is uprooted by fire!
- Whatever you came here with as a temptation, you shall return here with it as a testimony
- Receive your fruit of the womb in Jesus’ Name!
- Today marks the end of every season of joblessness. Miracle jobs shall visit you!
- Everyone battling with a court case, I declare that case is over in your favour
- Every unjust incarceration, I declare it comes to an end in Jesus’ Name!
- Every form of closed door against your life and destiny, I declare those doors open in Jesus’ Name
- You will not crash by air, land or sea! You shall fulfil your days
- You will not die carelessly!
