A Promise For You From Bible Promises: [02/07/16]

Topic: Not For Your Kind

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 1 Corinthians 6:12. Read: Pro 31:1-5

I remembered vividly in my secondary school days, there was a particular necklace that reigned basically for guys. The necklace has two teeth (Elephant Tusk). I so much cherished it that I planned to purchase mine. While I planned to purchased mine, I borrowed from my friend who already had it and I wore it on my neck. Immediately I got to my principal’s office, he said to me, Emode (as he usually calls me), this necklace is not for your kind, remove it. Immediately I left his office, I removed it and stopped the plan of purchasing mine. I realised that, not everything that is good is actually meant for me. Others may, but I cannot, it may be good for others, but, for my kind, it might become an issue because you’re a chosen generation.

Paul said, all things are good unto me, but all things are not profitable to me, they do not edify; though that might be good, but I will not be controlled by them. Others may, you cannot. Stop imitating others to do what  they do. Lemuel’s mother told him, immorality, adultery, promiscuousness, strong drink are not for kings nor Princes, lest they do all these and pervert the judgment of the afflicted. It’s not for your kind.

* Others may, but you cannot because you’re a chosen generation and a royal priesthood
