MEMORISE: As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5

BIBLE READING: John 8:12
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
MESSAGE:
Light is one of the early creations of God, and it is important to humans because it reveals what is hidden in darkness. It also provides direction and clarity. The more exposure you give to light, the brighter a room becomes. The word of God is light, and the more you read His word, the greater your knowledge of Him will be.
Years ago, when I attended a camp meeting that was hosted by the late Kenneth Hagin and visited the late Dr Yonggi Chơ’s church, I saw thousands of people in attendance in both churches. I also witnessed mighty moves of God in those services. I then realised that God could do the same thing in our meetings in Nigeria, so I began to thirst and pray for the mighty move of God in our programmes. I also began to dig deep into the Scriptures. To the glory of God, we now experience such mighty moves of God in our programmes.
My dear child, light and exposure will reveal the great and impactful things you can do for God and your generation to you. You can get exposed to God’s light by studying and meditating on His word daily. You can also get exposed to more light by listening to Spirit-filled messages. The more light you are exposed to, the more you will radiate the glory of God.
Quiz: In which book of the Bible did God say, “Let there be light” during creation?
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please let the light of Your word shine into my heart today and every day.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
Mark 15:27-47, Deuteronomy 28
HYMN 74: REVIVE THY WORK, O LORD
1 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
Thy mighty arm make bare;
speak with the voice that wakes the dead,
and make Thy people hear.
Refrain:
Revive Thy work, 0 Lord,
while here to Thee we bow;
descend, O gracious Lord, descend!
O come and bless us now.
2 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
now let us thirst for Thee;
and hung’ring for the bread of life
may all our spirits be.
3 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
exalt Thy precious name;
and, by the Holy Ghost, our love
for Thee and Thine inflame.
4 Revive Thy work, O Lord,
give pow’r unto Thy word;
grant that Thy blessed gospel may
in living faith be heard.
5 Revive Thy work, 0 Lord,
and give refreshing show’rs;
the glory shall be all Thine own,
the blessing, Lord, be ours.
