4 One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts.
5 I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works.
6 And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness.
7 They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.
8 The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.
9 The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
10 All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee.
11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.
MESSAGE
While the government of Nigeria was planning for the 1977 Festival of Arts and Culture (FESTAC), it occurred to me that since it would be a public holiday, I could gather students to study the Bible, pray, and dance to God instead. I got the approval to organize the programme and wrote letters to schools.
However, I needed money to post the letters, not to mention provide feeding and accommodation for the students throughout the duration of the programme as stated in the letter. Then, a friend offered his savings of #4,000. However, we still needed more money, so I sold my car. By the grace of God, the programme was successful, and today, it is known worldwide as the RCCG Congress. I was not even the General Overseer then, just a Christian who wanted to lift Jesus’ name above all else.
Beloved, as Christians, you must match and outwit every secular dream. Do everything to ensure that God’s name is praised above all others. If you make a move, God will do the rest.
