BIBLE READING: Deuteronomy 1:30-31
30 The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes;
31 And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place.
MESSAGE:
Every father has an important role to play in leading his family with wisdom and love. God expects fathers to walk in righteousness and set godly examples that will bring blessings to their children. This is what made me vow to always be present in the lives of my children.
Sadly, not every child is privileged to enjoy the love of a father, and this is one of the things that contributes to bad leadership in society today. If your biological father is still alive but has been absent in your life or is indifferent towards you and has failed to mentor you in the right manner, do not be depressed. Rather than dishonour or resent him, ask God to help you to forgive him wholeheartedly. This might be painful, but I want you to ask the Holy Spirit to help you.
Today is the International Day of the Boy Child. If you are a boy, now is the time to start working on yourself to ensure that you become a great father in future. Also, pray that God will lead you to a godly mentor who can guide and disciple you rightly. When you learn how to submit to God, you will lead yourself and others in the right way.
ACTION POINT:
For the next ten minutes, pray for every boy around you.
