BIBLE TEXT: Psalms 127:3-5
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jonah 1-4
MESSAGE:
Today’s Bible reading establishes one fundamental truth that families must accept: God owns all children, and He has handed them over fo their parents who are their guardians and caretakers on earth.
If you have Christian parents, you should be grateful to God because they will likely groom you in the way of the Lord until you fulfill your glorious destiny. However, let me say that not all Christian parents train their children according to God’s plan. Some are passive about their children’s bad behavior, and this will later bring God’s punishment on them like with Prophet Eli, who refused to scold and punish his children for their wrong deeds (1 Samuel 2:27-32).
Beloved, if your parents are truly leading you right, please cooperate with them so that your future can be bright. However, if your parents are doing otherwise, pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal Himself unto them and call them back to repentance.

Father, please help my parents to lead me in the path of righteousness and help me to obey You through them.
