READ: Psalms 40:14-17

  1. Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil.
  2. Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
  3. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
  4. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Acts 6:1-15, Esther 7-10

MESSAGE:

In the world today, the wealthy and the poor coexist even though there is a wide difference between them. While the rich are associated with wealth, power and fame, the poor are associated with suffering and lack. This lowly state of the poor makes them of no respect; even the Bible states that:

“The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. Proverbs 14:20”

If your parents are rich, congratulations, but if you come from a poor background where your parents cant pay bills conveniently, I decree that God will put an end to every form of poverty in your life today, in the name of Jesus.

The Bible establishes that the poor will always be amongst us but it didn’t say that you will remain poor. This is why I encourage you to pursue your God-given goals, get closer to God and keep moving forward. Just like God changed my story for good, I believe He will change yours too from poverty to prosperity.

PRAYER POINT

Father, please give me ideas that will move me and my family forward, in Jesus name.

HYMN 10: IN CHRIST ALONE

  1. In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
    This Cornerstone, this solid ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
  2. In Christ alone, who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
  3. There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of
  4. No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
    Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
