TOPIC: Befriend The ‘Gossip’ [Open Heaven for Teens 30 December 2021]

MEMORISE: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10

READ: 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 (KJV)

  1. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
  2. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
  3. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
  4. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Zechariah 13-14, Revelation 21:1-27

MESSAGE:

According to today’s Bible reading, its the duty of the Holy Spirit to reveal what is invisible to the eyes and inaudible to the ears to believers. Some people jokingly tag Him a ‘gossip’. I remember He would tell me hours ahead, the routes I should avoid when going to Lagos so as not to be held in traffic. Sometimes, when my children misbehave, He reveals it to me. Thus, when I correct and discipline them, they wonder how I got to know. One of my sons told his friend that I am not an ordinary human being because I reveal their secrets to them. However, when they attained spiritual maturity, they understood that the Holy Spirit was my informant.

The reason the Holy Spirit wants to reveal things to you, is so you won’t be in the dark about your life, future, family, schoolmates, friends, community, nation, neighbours or even other nations. For Him to do this, you have to communicate with Him constantly by speaking His language often. When you speak in tongues, you will grow in your relationship with the righteous and holy Gossip.

PRAYER POINT:

Speak in tongues for at least 20 minutes everyday.

HYMN: BREATHE ON ME BREATH OF GOD

  1. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love,
And do what Thou wouldst do.
  2. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    Until my heart is pure,
Until with Thee I will one will,
    To do and to endure.
  3. Breathe on me, Breath of God;
    Till I am wholly Thine,
Until this earthly part of me
    Glows with Thy fire divine.
  4. Breathe on me, Breath of God,
    So shall I never die,
But live with Thee the perfect life
    Of Thine eternity.
