Memorise: Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22

Read: Philippians 4:8

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Bible In One Year: Daniel 3-4; 1 John 3:1-24

MESSAGE:

Righteousness is the act of doing the right thing before God. It means being true, just, upright and faultless. Righteousness is very important to God because God hates sin. In a world where people are cutting corners to get things done, you may think it is impossible to be upright. I can testify that it is very possible. You only have to make the right decisions. When your friends in school or at home are planning to do the things that are against the commands of God, remain steadfast on the word of God that you believe in. You need to constantly feed on the word of God and rely on the Holy Spirit to help you stand firm especially when faced with temptations. There will surely be temptations and your friends may stop interacting with you, but don’t worry. The Bible says in Matthew 5:10 that you will inherit the kingdom of heaven.

Righteousness is the nature of God (Psalms 116:5-13) and because you are His child, you are also expected to have the same nature. Only a born again child of God can carry His nature. God expects you to be righteous. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Prayer Point:

Father, give me the grace to continue live righteously.

My advice for you dear child is to study your Bible and obey the commandments of God. You will never regret it.

Hymn: There Shall Be Showers Of Blessing

  1. There shall be showers of blessing
    This is the promise of love;
    There shall be season refreshing
    Sent from the Savior above

Chorus:
Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need;
Mercy drop ’round are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

  1. There shall be showers of blessing
    Precious reviving again;
    Over the hills and the valleys,
    Sound of abundance of rain.
  2. There shall be showers of blessing
    Send them upon us O Lord
    Grant to us a refreshing;
    Come now and honor Thy Word.
  3. There shall be showers of blessing
    Oh that today thy might fall,
    Now as to God we are confessing,
    Now as on Jesus we call!
