Our Daily Manna November 19, 2017: ODM devotional – The Christ of the Lord

Topic: The Christ of the Lord [Sunday, November 19, 2017]

Basic Scriptures: Acts 2: 22-42; Job 36:11

Oh thank God, it is another new day! The new emphasis in today’s Upper  Room  devotional encounter is Act 2:36: “ … that God has made that same Jesus , who you have crucified , both Lord and Christ” Glory to God! Note: BOTH LORD AND CHRIST! Most of us do not have problems understanding the power of THE CHRIST – He saved us through His death on the cross . He was the Christ when he died, but the story does not end there. He also arose from the grave of the stone and that was when God made Jesus the Lord.

God made him the Christ when he shouted , it is finished,  God made him the lord when he arose from the grave and sprinkled the heavenly tabernacle  with his blood on that first resurrection morning, use today devotion encounter  to re-dedicate your life to him as Lord. “LORD” means He Is the total, complete and supreme controller of every department in your life, Family and ministry.

When David disobeyed God, he was taking him as his shepherd, but not has his Lord. Most often, we want him as our salvation, but not as our Lord. Yes, most often, we want him as Jehovah Ropheka-the healer,  but not as Jehovah Adonai-the Lord,  Do we not desire him as Jehovah jireh – the provider and the supplier, but not Jehovah Adonai – the Lord? Why do we need Him as Jehovah shalom – our peace, but not as Jehovah Adonai – the Lord? King Saul disobeyed God and lost his throne! Prophet Job said, “If you obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure” (Job 36:11).

As 2017 ends, drop that secret sin habit! Be faithful in your finances again! Refuse to tolerate or live with any known sin! Job 36:12 says: “If they obey not, they shall be killed by sword and they shall die without knowledge.” To obey is better than scarifies! Disobedience is deadly later! If He is not Lord for all, then He is not Lord at all! Pray now!

Prayer Points: Take your best worship song to God.

1. Thank God for another new day! You are alive! Pray about the word as it has touched you!

2. Surrender all to Him now! Lift up your hands again and pray, “Lord, I surrender TOTALLY the following areas of my life … (mention them) and re-dedicate your life to Him!

3. Pray in the morning, afternoon and evening of today’s prayer points.
