Topic: Your Happiness Counts [Friday April 17, 2015]

“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” –Isaiah 12:3

Recently, I remembered a song that says “Don’t worry, be happy!” Joy is actually a choice. You either chose to be joyful in spite of prevailing circumstances, or you allow your situation weigh you down. It is certain that being sad brings nothing but self-pity, depression, ill health and pain. It does not solve the challenge at hand, and only increases it.

But when you choose to be joyful at all times, it attracts great things to you. Your joy draws solutions in the midst of confusion because you gain the attention of God with a positive countenance. Joy is an attitude that shows your level of faith on the inside. It is something that emanates from within, and radiates on the outside, attracting to you the right atmosphere.

While there are so many things that may want to steal or corrupt your joy, you must jealously guard against that. Joy is what you need to fetch clean water from the stream of life. Without this, you remain confused and stagnant, unsure of what to do, when it is time to draw out your blessings, health, prosperity and strength, from the well of salvation.

Circumstances may attempt to shake your faith, but joy keeps you confident, unmoved by what goes on around you. It gives you the belief that no matter what comes your way, God is in control. You can maintain this joy by remembering your past victories, holding on to revelations from Scripture and maintaining the belief that you can do all that God says you can do. Your joy is paramount to that victory you are waiting for, so build it, maintain it and keep it multiplied.

Remain Blessed!
