Topic: Be interested [Thursday August 20, 2015]

“…Give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.”- 1 Timothy 4:15

In my discoveries about life, I realise that there is a force called interest. It drives you towards to discover and develop on what fuels your passion. Interest means a feeling of wanting to give your attention to something or wanting to be involved with and to discover more about something – a vocation, career or a person. However, the beginning of any interest is in the mind.

Some are laid back at everything. Nothing moves them, so they approach everything casually. Moreover, what they feel nothing about, is what someone else has brought something out of and is making waves in it. There is more to you than you know. Your mind is rich with so many ideas that are capable of turning on your world, if only you are interested. There is a force in interest and that force only makes for greatness if used positively.

You may have come in contact with someone or maybe a friend, colleague or relation, who may be studied a course in the University completely different from what he or she may be doing, is good or well known for, now. Some of these people didn’t go into such “odd” professions for lack of jobs, but for the sake of interest. This proves that your interest can take you towards the path of greatness if you just give yourself wholly to it.

One unique thing about your interest is this: because you are not coerced into it, you always want to bring out the best from it. There must be something you are passionate about, so don’t just sit casually. Even if you are not sure what it is now, take time out to find it. This is what spurs your imagination and drives you towards excellence. Stimulate your interest and give it action. Therein lies the greatness you imagine so go for it!

Remain Blessed!
