Topic: The Potter’s House [Thursday 8 October, 2015]

“…Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand…”-Jeremiah 18:6

Potters are some of the most patient and diligent workers on the face of the earth. A potter is not just patient, but also is a risk taker. He may spend days, weeks and months with a particular pottery; but if it still does not come out exactly right, he is not afraid to start all over again. One unique thing about the potter is this: he always aims at perfection. Similarly, that’s God’s aim, with you.

As a hardworking Potter, His goal is to see you fit for His use. It grieves God, when there is an atom of imperfection in you. He has invested so much to see that you come out whole, not just for others to admire you, but to be fit for the purpose you were created. Ultimately, this purpose is to bring honour and glory to His name. When you are not fulfilling this purpose, He is unhappy, because the pride of every potter is for his work to be appreciated.

Appreciation does not only mean speaking well of the pottery, but much more right functioning in the ordained capacity– spiritually, physically and mentally. The good news is, no matter how damaged a pottery is; only the potter has the capacity to remould. If you are not sure of what you have been created for, you can return to the Potter and He will reveal your purpose to you. Peradventure, you already know your purpose but don’t know how to go about it; He will also guide you in the right path.

Some may have engaged in wrong works and have, as a result, damaged vital parts in this beautiful pottery – You. You could also return to the Great Potter, He is ready to remould you into the exact image He always had in mind. Your true worth is in your works. Live a life worthy of what you have been created for and your rewards will exceed the now.

Remain Blessed!
