Topic: Faithfulness in Stewardship [Wednesday July 22, 2015]

“Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”-1 Corinthians 4:2

There is a story about a hunting dog that had been with his master for years. The dog had been trained to search for bush animals, kill them and bring it home, and he was faithful to it. On a daily basis, without been instructed, he would go to the woods, find a kill, bring it home and stay with it till his master returned. The master therefore grew so fond of that dog because of its faithful stewardship. It was treated specially and never lacked attention from his owner.

Similarly, every faithful steward of God also enjoys special preferences. Faithfulness in the Kingdom does not necessarily mean skill or anointing, but it entails doing what you are expected to do, without supervision.

If your ministerial service must be acceptable to God, it must be done in faithfulness. Ministry does not necessarily mean being a pastor or the leader of your church group; if you are in the choir or a teacher at the children’s church, it is a ministry. So, you must render your service as if God is present, supervising you. Faithfulness is a driving force that enables you to take responsibility, with ease.

There is always a reward for faithful service. It guarantees you a fulfilling future and raises you above limitations. It creates a fondness between you and God, guaranteeing you special treatment from Him.

So, do not wait till you are made a leader before you assume responsibility in service. Remember, it is only when you are faithful in little that you will be given much. From today, your service to God and man will be acceptable and rewarding, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
