Topic: Keep the fire Burning [Wednesday June 3, 2015]

“Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.”-Proverbs 26:20

If you have ever made a meal with fire woods rather than a stove, you would realise that to keep the fire burning, you need to restock the wood and fan the fire so it does not go out. This is strongly representative of your spiritual life. Just as once saved does not guarantee your sustained salvation, once spiritual does not mean always spiritual.

Maintaining spirituality is a conscious and dedicated effort. You start your spiritual fire by being born again; but it is sustained by constant studying and meditation of the Word. On a regular basis, you need to find fresh revelation for your life. You can’t keep running with what you already know; there is always something new for you with God.

Truth is: your life and ministry is like an adventure, it keeps unfolding as the day goes by. However, if you don’t discover what you should, which majorly is through the Word of God, you will remain stuck in a spot. That is why the Bible is called your spiritual compass. It is your best guide in the world.

Remember the above Scripture says: “Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out…” This means that your vision and purpose can be lost without constant fanning of the fire with the Word of God. Don’t get lost in the crowd, don’t let the devil steal that which you have when you can guard and fuel it. Remain an ever ready student of the Word and watch God unfold His plans to you and how to walk with it daily.

Remain Blessed!
