Topic: Deep calleth unto deep [Wednesday 16 September, 2015]

“Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:”-Daniel 2:17

Research has it that as strong as the lion is, it would take a team of lions to defeat one buffalo. Similarly, no matter how grown you are in ministry, no matter how anointed you are, there is always a place for fellowship with people of the same calling; if you must defeat every opposition that confronts you.

Apart from your involvement in various programmes, it is advisable to have a group of ministers who will stand with and for you in prayers and with whom you can share revelations with.

I have come to understand the word “fellowship” to be made of two separate words which are “fellow” and “ship”. This can be interpreted as communion with fellows on the same ship. The reason you need those of the same calling is that, there are situations, circumstances and challenges peculiar to your ministerial assignment that only they would understand and relate with. You might be able to learn from their experiences or draw knowledge through their counsels.

Daniel enjoyed such fellowship. He drew strength and support from his three Hebrew friends at a time when his life was in danger. Through their joint prayers, he got speedy answers that granted him victory before the king. So, even when confronted with fierce oppositions, you can look them in the face and walk above them because you are not alone.

You don’t have to be an island; you actually cannot go through life alone. One reason why many great ministers fall is because they are going through ministry alone. You need the support, strength and advice of others with like minds to be victorious over the challenges of life and ministry. Stop isolating yourself; prayerfully find those whom you can get true fellowship with and watch the impact on your ministry. Your ministry shall succeed in the name of Jesus Christ!

Remain Blessed!
