Topic: Peace I Leave With You
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27
The Bible teaches us two kinds of peace:
1) PEACE OF GOD. Jesus said in the above Scripture “My peace I give unto you”. This means that there is a peace that comes from God only. The peace of God is full of quietness, tranquility, passes understanding, full of joy, love, kindness, patient and contentment. There is no worries in a man that have God kind of peace because, it help one to know what to do at every point in time; keep one in serenity in the midst of turmoil. God peace chase away anxiety from a man’s heart. (Read Phil. 4:6-9). Jesus told His disciples not to worry over the things of this life like the world does, He told them the only way to live above worry and sorrow is to “Seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto them”. Matt. 6:33
2) PEACE OF THE WORLD. Jesus also said that the peace of the world is full of tribulations, sorrows, pain and agonies. There is no satisfaction in the peace of the world. It’s full of lack of contentment, greediness, envy, jealousy, hatred and anxiety are all imbedded in the peace the world offers to her recipients. Jesus left peace of mind on earth for His children before He ascended into heaven. Do you lack peace? It’s already available, go for it now by giving your life to Jesus – the Prince of Peace. He can give you abundant of it.
