Topic: Keep Going
Text: 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (TLB) [8/3/2016]
No scenario better explains the indefatigable ability that lies within us than the one illustrated by Apostle in our text. He said, “we are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down but we get up again and keep going” (2 Cor. 4:8-9).
Sometimes, we take a beaten from life and get bruised, but our resolve must be unbroken. When we get knocked down, we must not stay down. But we must get up again, and keep going, keep fighting, keep plunging away (Proverbs 24:16). Even when the opposition is getting stiffer and it seems we are being hunted down by forces to mitigate our progress, know that God is with you. He never abandons His own.
The wonderful thing is that we have a foresight of the end, and it is victory at the end. Hallelujah!!! Thanks be to God who always causes us to triumph. Glory to His name. With this foresight, you have to keep going, you can’t stop. Victory is eminent, and if you stop or cave in, you won’t embrace the victory banner. Keep going and embrace the victory banner because God’s Word says so.
Keep winning always.
Prayer:
Thank You Lord for Your Word that impresses in my heart the need to always rise up from the ashes of defeat. Today and always, I will keep on moving forward, no matter the mitigating forces, because the end spells victory, in Jesus name. Amen.
