MEMORISE: “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 10:32

READ: Matthew 10:33

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 38-40; Matthew 12:22-50

MESSAGE:

“But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.” – Matthew 10:33.

There are some many private Christians in the world that we live in today. So many teenagers don’t want people to know that they are Christians, so they hardly do anything Christ-like in public. They hardly post about Jesus on their social media handles, they hardly pray on their food when eating in public, and they hardly preach the gospel too, all because they don’t want anybody to label them as Christian fanatics. Jesus said that He will deny private Christians before His Father in heaven. In other words, He will tell God He does not know them (Matthew 10:33).

You should be proud to show the world that you are a Christian. Don’t mind the devil when he tries to make you feel ashamed of being called a true Christian in public. He is afraid of the impact you will make if you are bold about your faith. You would also be surprised that those yofear will label you a ‘Christian fanatic’ may actually admire your courage but not be honest enough to admit it.

ACTION POINT:

Post on Social media today that you love Jesus and you live for Him if you are not ashamed of Him.

Hymn 1:

  1. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus,
    Ye soldiers of the Cross!
    Lift high His royal banner,
    It must not suffer loss.
    From victory unto victory
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    The solemn watchword hear;
    If while ye sleep he suffers,
    Away with shame and fear.
    Where’re yeah meet with evil,
    Within you or without,
    Charge for the God of battles,
    And put the foe to rout.
  3. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
    Stand in His strength alone;
    The arm of flesh will fail you,
    Ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    Where duty calls, or danger,
    Be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
    The strife will not be long;
    This day the noise of battle,
    The next the victor’s song.
    To him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
    He with the King of glory
    Shall reign eternally.
