A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Privileged But Foolish [21/09/2016]

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1 Corinthians 15:10. Read: 2 Sam 12:7-9

To be privileged and foolish is to take the grace of God for granted, it’s to trample underfoot the gift of God to humanity – the Lord Jesus Christ. In Gen 48:1-20, Joseph brought his two sons to Jacob his father for fatherly blessing, Jacob laid his right hand upon the Ephraim who is the younger and placed his left hand upon the older Manasseh. When Joseph saw it, it displeased him and tried to correct his father, but he refused because he knew what he was doing. Ephraim was privileged and was given a place of first born. By the time you get to the book of Hosea, he acted foolishly by joining himself to idols and God said, let him alone. Hos 4:17. It was God who granted him privilege that still took it away due to his foolishness. Samson the Nazareth also took God’s privilege for granted and was grinded. Judges 16:16-21. Judas Iscarot also took God’s privilege for granted and another man took his place. What about Saul? He lost his Crown to David too.

What area of your life do you think God has given you privilege but you’ve acted or about to take His grace for granted? Repent of it and return to Him now for total restoration. Don’t act foolishly but be wise and maximise God’s grace on  your life for His purpose.
