Bible Reading: 2 Timothy 3:1-5

  1. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
  2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
  3. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
  4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
  5. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

MESSAGE:

The spirit of self-centeredness and self-adoration is becoming rampant today. People have become so full of themselves that everything they do revolves around them. Personal convenience always comes first. Personal gains must be guaranteed before they do anything. They will hurt anyone, cheat and tell lies just to get ahead or get monetary reward.

Are you always thinking of just yourself?, Are you always thinking that you will do better on your own with no authority over you?, Are you always trying to outsmart people?. Adam and Eve ate the fruit because they were trying to outsmart God and get ahead of Him. How wrong they were!. If you continue on this path, your end will be terrible. Humble yourself and just calm down. You are not in competition with anyone.

The most important asset you will ever have is God. Why not go back to Him and confess your sins to Him. Tell Him you have come back to your senses and you need Him dearly.

Prayer Point: Father, please take over my life and cleanse me from my sins.
