Thought For The Day: Ignorance is a major reason for limitation in life and destiny.
Yesterday, we saw the effect of negative pattern on the life and destiny of Jacob and how it resisted his destiny.
Today, we want to look at other manifestations of negative patterns and habits in the lives of people. This is because ignorance is a major reason for limitation in life and destiny.
Now, what are other manifestations of negative patterns and habits?
In the life of the widow of Zarephath, you would see the pattern of death of the male adults; there was a spell on that family which prohibited the males from living long. Her husband died and then the only son also died (1 kings 17:17).
Moses was also a victim of a negative pattern and cycle; his great grandfather, Levi (along with Reuben) wiped out the generation of Shechem when Shechem defiled their sister Dinah due to anger (Genesis 34:30, 49:26). The anger in Levi was transferred to Moses. This anger deprived Moses of entering the Promised Land because he angrily disobeyed God by striking the rock instead speaking to it (Numbers 20:11). The negative pattern of his father (Levi) that followed him deprived him of his destiny.
The negative pattern of immorality was seen in the lineage of Judah; he had a sexual relationship with Tamar, his daughter in-law and that negative pattern did not end with him; it was transferred to David, his grandson who slept with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah, the Hitite. This negative pattern of immorality from Judah flowed down and affected Absalom, Amnon, Solomon and Rehoboam.
Beloved, there may be negative tendencies or habits in your life; failure at the edge of breakthrough, working like an elephant but eating like a dog, poverty, addiction to alcohol, tobacco, fornication, masturbation, etc., I want to let you know that any negative tendency in your life shall be broken as you align yourself with God in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: Ignorance is the major reason for limitation in life and destiny.
Assignments:
1. Go through today’s message again.
2. Take an in-depth analysis of your family history to identify any negative pattern.
3. Go before God and demand the breakage of the pattern by the Blood.
Prayer: O Lord, I ask that You arrest every negative habit in my life, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.
