Topic: The First [Teens Open Heavens 10 October 2018]

Memorise: But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept. 1 Corinthians 15:20 Read: 1 Corinthians 15:20-23 (KJV) Bible In One Year: Isaiah 43-44, Colossians 2 MESSAGE: Jesus Christ is the first at everything. He is the first so that you can also be first. If you are anything but the first in your academics or secular endeavours, it could be because you have not been introduced to the First; it is your Kingdom right to be the first. One way to enter and occupy that reserved space is to carefully listen and completely obey what ‘Jesus the First’ says. You cannot be disobedient to the First and expect to be the first. You also have to make Him the first in every area of your life. Make the First the ultimate in your life, and He will make you the first in all your endeavours. Ever since I made Him the first in my life, I have experienced great success that I could otherwise only have had in my dreams. Key Point: Tell The First of your plans and secrets before you do so with anyone else. Also Read: Teen Open Heaven Daily Devotional by Pastor Adeboye Hymn 2: 1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word, What a glory He sheds on our way! While we do His good will, He abides with us still, And with all who will trust and obey. Chorus: Trust and obey, for theres no other way To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. 2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies, But His smile quickly drives it away; Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear, Can abide while we trust and obey. 3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share, But our toil He doth richly repay; Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross, But is blessed if we trust and obey. 4. But we never can prove the delights of His love Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey. 5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.
