A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: The Empowered Minister. Pt Four [21/06/17]

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20. Read: 1 Cor 4:15-21

One of the things that makes the  extraordinary Christian different from the ordinary is the encounter he/she had with the all-powerful God. Shortly after the healing of the lame man at the beautiful gate, Peter and John were summoned by the Sanhedrin for questioning. They were threatened and warned not to speak or teach in Jesus’ name. “But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard”. Acts  4:19-20.

The least among the apostles, Paul was ready to die for the gospel of Jesus Christ not because he loved death, but for the personal encounter he had with the powerful God on his way to Damascus in Acts 9. From then till his death, he believed and preached the gospel with the power of God. In his first letter to the Church in Corinth, he told the brethren that, For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. It’s not about being eloquent, your eloquence must be backed up with God’s power to be effective in the lives of His people. Power makes the difference in ministry and His word, go for it now.
