“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” – Isaiah 1:19

Recently I received a testimony from one of my daughters that God elevated to a powerful position. When God elevated her, everyone was asking her: ‘Who do you know? How come you were able to get this position?’ She told the story of what God did. It turned out that she put to practice some of the things she was hearing in church. I remember asking her once that: “If you are ‘number one’ and you are put in ‘number two’ position, what would you do? If you are entitled to something and it is given to another person, what would you do?”

You see, there are times God will put you in ‘number four’ and watch your attitude. Joseph was ‘number one’, but they placed him to be a slave to serve Potiphar. When he got to Potiphar’s house, he served and excelled. He could have been bitter. They further sent him to jail. In jail, he excelled. He told the butler to remember him, but the butler forgot. And he was still not bitter.

So, this daughter of mine was entitled to the position but they brought a junior person and asked her to train him. If you were the one, would you do that joyfully? She trained the young man and even enjoyed working with him.

Our dear sister worked very well with this man and soon a change occurred in her department. The boss left and there was an opening. The Chief Executive Officer was undecided on who to appoint. Many people were coming. Powerful people in the society were coming to lobby. One day, the man called that young man that our sister had trained and asked him, ‘Who do you think should occupy this position and would do a good job?’ The young man nominated our sister. That was how she got the job. She applied the principle of the Word. When God tells you to do certain things, know that He has got your back covered. Obey him because He always stays true to the principle of His Word.
