Topic: Think The Word [TREM’s Devotional Tuesday April 10, 2018]

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”. Hebrews 4:12 KJV

The word of God is alive and powerful. The word is sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit. It is only the word that can deal with the soul and spirit, joints and marrow. The word can reach any human being. It can reach the soul. It can reach the body. The word can reach every area. That is how powerful the word of God is.

Beloved, what are you thinking about? In the book of 1 Thessalonians 5:16 (KJV), Apostle Paul declares: “Rejoice evermore” Don’t stop rejoicing! Don’t stop! You already have joy inside you. All you have to do is stir it up. In Philippians 4:4, Paul says: “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again, I say, Rejoice (KJV) In good times and in bad times rejoice! Brother Mike, that is hard to do. I am passing through difficulty. Rejoice, because the end of the story is good.

I encourage you today to check what you are thinking about. Is it the word? Hear the admonition of Paul once again: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

This is a revelation of what you should be thinking. When the devil says that you are going to die, that is not the truth, so don’t dwell on it. Why should I think about death when I know it is not a good report? He said to think of what is of good report. Therefore, when you read the news and read all of the negative reports, thank God because His Word says you will be far from oppression. You have been delivered from the power of darkness. You belong to the company of the blessed. You stand on favoured ground. That is your heritage in Christ.
