TOPIC: The Great I Am (TREM Devotional 20 March 2022)

“And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.” Exodus 3:14 (KJV)

This is one of the most powerful revelations you can ever receive from the scriptures. In our text for today when Moses asked God His name, He called His name I AM.

God was saying to Moses that He is too BIG to be fitted into what they all call a name on earth: Therefore, tell them that My name is whatever You need Me to be. Did you catch that? He is I AM … (fill in the blank). That is God giving man a blanket cheque.

If you are groping in darkness, He is the light of the world John 8:12. If you are sick in your body, He is the Lord that healeth thee. If you are faced with a death threatening situation – He is the resurrection and the life john 11:25. If you feel helpless, He is a very present help in trouble Psalm 4:6-1. In other words, He is your right Now Help Not tomorrow or yesterday but right Now help. If you are fearful of what lies ahead of you, He is your Good Shepherd. John 10:11, Psalm 23:1-3. My friend, every other opinion about anything in life submits to His opinion. He is the Alpha and the Omega. Revelation 1:11 He has the final word, stop fretting and feeling agitated about your challenges. I AM is with you.

What is that thing troubling you, stop and see God touching it because He is the I AM. He is whatever you need, whenever you need it and however you need it. He comes to you at your level, picks you up and brings you to His level. He is your I AM. I challenge you today to meditate on this word. Ruminate over it until the full import dawns on you and you will see yourself walk in a new dimension of power because of the confidence you have that the I AM is with you.
