Topic: You Have Been Delivered From Wrath [TREM Devotional Saturday May 26, 2018]

“And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.” 1 Thessalonians – 1:10

Wrath means anger. You are saved from wrath because of Christ. Romans 5:9 says, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we were saved from wrath through him.” Christ has delivered us from the wrath to come. It is an unbelieving prayer for a believer to pray: “Lord help me to make heaven.” It is an unbelieving prayer when you pray: “Help me to make heaven” when you’re already seated in heaven. If you have not made heaven now, then, when will you make it? You have been raised to sit together with Him. Christ in you, the hope of glory. It is already yours!

Romans 8:30 says, “Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” As far as glory is concerned, it is already predetermined. The devil has lost you. So, don’t live your life with anxiety and stress, thinking; I hope I will make heaven. You have already made heaven. Have you received Christ? Then, you have made it. Congratulations!

You see, your mind cannot comprehend it. That is why it is grace. 1 Thessalonians 5:9 declares: “For God had not appointed us to wrath but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” That word salvation is all-encompassing. It is not just talking about salvation from sin. It includes prosperity! It includes joy, peace, and abundance of everything good. He has not appointed you for wrath. No! He has appointed you for a robust fellowship with Him. So, when you wake up every morning stop thinking about sin. Don’t be sin conscious. Rather be righteousness conscious. Awake to righteousness!
