TOPIC: THE WAY OF SUPERNATURAL POWER
ANCHORED SCRIPTURES: MATTHEW 10:1-2; ACTS 1:8

The MESSAGE:
Now listen to me very carefully. Where there is power, there is no argument. The Bible says where the word of a king is, there is power. This morning’s service is a very serious one especially for those who are tired of being tired and sick of being sick. There are many things in our world confronting us day by day. We need power against them. There is power for, there is power with; but this one here is power against.
I am praying for that man and that woman here: power against the conspiracy against your life, receive that power in the name of Jesus.
Where there is power, there is no struggle. The reason the enemy is fighting some people is because you have not given them a sound beating, subjected to a sound defeat.
I am praying that there will be someone here this morning; who will acquire power to trample upon every serpent and scorpion the enemy is arranging against you, so that you can kill the scorpions of your father’s and mother’s house, in the name of Jesus.
Acts 1:8 gives us a clue unto the way of power. You shall receive power that the enemy cannot withstand or cope with; that the enemy will see and be shocked. God wants us to be a terror to the kingdom of darkness. Can you raise up your right hand and shout the way you like yourself and your destiny:
Power to terrify my enemies, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus. (Pray it 2 hot times).
What I am bringing to you this morning is this: it is important right now and very compulsory and essential that you and I have the power of God in our lives. Our lives must generate the power of God. It is a lamentable tragedy to stay at the footmat of the enemy because of lack of power. Unless you are a crazy or mad mosquito you will land on the surface of a pressing iron that is plugged to electricity. But real power is spiritual power. Beloveth, I feel sorry for our generation. Our generation is the most powerless generation.

Our laziness is legendary. What I am saying to you is this: more than at any other time, we need the power of God in our lives. Here you are sitting down in this morning’s service. I will not be surprised if someone in your office is by a shrine right now and chanting your name. They have become so audacious now. A witch doctor will call a person on the phone and threaten them and they start shaking. This is why we need to confront all these confronting forces. God is looking for men and women who will rise in power in their time. Christianity is supernatural power. Christianity is power that subjects all other powers to surrender.
Can you raise up your right hand and shout this loud and clear:
Power to bury my enemies, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
The Bible makes it very clear that we are the solutions to the problems of this world. That is why we are still saying that the problem of Nigeria is the problem of Christians. The time we should have been discipling people, we did not do it; we were preaching prosperity. So now we have very plenty of Christians and few disciples. We have plenty of church goers but very powerless people. Instead of them to sit down and fight spiritually, they are going from mountain to mountain, papa to papa, prophet to prophet seeking solutions.
I am praying for somebody here: any power sending spiritual assassins to you, any power that wants you to die before your time, we bury them in the name of Jesus! (A sevenfold amen).
We need raw power in our lives. So one of the greatest needs of today’s church is demonstrating the power of God and if anybody can stay in a place in the name of Christ and there is power, people go there. Even if his English is the worst or he does not even know how to preach, or whether it is male or female, as long as he is demonstrating the power of God, people go there. He does not need any newspaper advert. People go there. We need to demonstrate the power of God. We need to destroy the works of the devil. We need to carry out solution evangelism. We need to turn the world upside down by displaying the naked power of God.
I am always excited when I hear testimonies of members who hear emergency and rush there with manna water or water of fire or anointing oil and miracles happen. We need that power now. And let me tell you one secret: once the power of God comes upon you, you are the first beneficiary before you begin to help others. When the power of God came upon Samson, the first thing he did was to break the chains that held him down. It was then he was able to help others. I believe there will be somebody here this morning who will say “I want power, raw power; power against those powers against my destiny”.
More than at any other time beloveth, we need to cry to the heavens for this power now. There are demonic powers now everywhere. Why? They are operating everywhere. Why? Men and women looking for money are going into the demonic world to acquire power to get it. Why? Sin, sickness, disease, in strange ways all over the place. It is very terrible. Now, there is an epidemic of insanity. It is so terrible that they bring sick or mad people to the hospital and they say there is no bed. They are overwhelming the system because they are too many. Attacks have increased. People trying to transfer other people’s virtues have increased.
I am praying for somebody here: any power that has determined to transfer your virtues to other avenues, we bury them now, in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen).
We need power. There is too much sickness and suffering in the world. People do not even listen to the gospel anymore. You have the occultic and satanic people in naked display, displaying their power in the open. Even in the house of God, there is decrease in godliness, honesty, moral values in church and state. But when you begin to demonstrate the power, your life:
- Will glorify God.
- Will confirm the power of God.
- Will bring revelation of His power.
- Will be destroying the works of darkness.
- Will overcome the power of darkness.
- Will bring open failure to the plan of the enemy.
- Becomes a divine phenomenon.
We need to bring open shame to the power of satan. The supernatural is God’s divine nature and brings the power of satan to invade the earth. We need to get that supernatural power today. We are daily confronted with all kinds of troubles. We are fighting a supernatural problem. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. So to cope with them, we need to operate in a supernatural power to deal with these supernatural forces.
What I am trying to make you understand is this before we start praying: the supernatural power is not just for a few people, but for all. Mark 16:17 tells us “these signs shall follow them that believe..”. As long as you are a believer, you are entitled to operate in the supernatural. The supernatural is not the exclusive reserve of bishops, archbishops, pastors, prophets and the rest. It is as long as you believe. Christians are supernatural people.
Our new birth is supernatural. Our food, the word of God is supernatural. Our teacher the Holy Spirit is supernatural. Our Bible is also supernatural. Believers are supposed to be supernatural people. You must move in that supernatural way so that you can obtain supernatural victory. This morning,
- if you are not born again, surrender your life to Jesus.
- If you are living in any known sin, repent, because all sinners are fighting God.
- Examine your life. Put your life on the screen of the Almighty. Am I doing what God wants me to do? Is there anything God wants me to take out?
- Receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
- Then ask for that power. The power talks about power from on high. It is different from power from below. And there is no way power from below will defeat power from on high.
This is what I am introducing to you this day. We need power demonstration.
PRAYER POINTS
[Tell the Lord to forgive you of any sin that will prevent the power of God from coming into your life now].
- Power from on high, overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
