Topic: At Thy Word [19/7/2016]
Text: Luke 5:5

In the Word of God, lies the miracle working ability of God. Where there is scarcity of miracles, there is scarcity of the Word of God. Every miracle of Jesus, when He was on earth, were all product of His Words. The world we live in was miraculously created by the Word of God. Hebrews 11:3 says: “through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God…” God will not perform any miracle through any other means, unless by His Word.

With this in mind, anyone who crave a miracle from God must encounter the Word of God. Apostle Peter’s first encounter with Jesus says a lot about this. After toiling all through the night without catching any fish in the sea of Galilee, Jesus asked him to “launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught” (Luke 5:4) Peter’s reply was one with trust on the Words of Jesus. I have toiled all night long but “nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5).

At the marriage ceremony in  Canaan, Mary, Jesus’ mother also place her trust in the Words of Jesus to produce the miracle that the bride and groom of the marriage needed. She told the servants in John  2:5 “whatsoever he saith unto you, do it” The Lord want us to trust His Word, because that is the medium He will use to perform the miracle that we crave. Put your faith absolutely on God’s Word for your miracle is sure at His Word.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
My absolute faith is on the miracles working Word of God. The Word of God produces the miracles I am believing God for. All my heart desires are being met by God through His Word, in Jesus name. Amen.
