Topic: Don’t Give Up Your Joy [3/3/2016]
Text: John 10:10
One of Satan’s chief task is to steal, to steal our joy. He knows that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). So he goes after it. He knows before he can get you down, he needs to disarm you and remove you from your position of strength. So he does all he can to steal, kill and destroy the joy of the Lord that you have.
But you don’t have to allow Satan do that to you. Even in the direst of situations, don’t ever throw away the joy of the Lord that you have. The kingdom of God is about joy, joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17), with joy comes peace and with peace comes an unwavering faith in God (Romans 15:13). No wonder Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 7:4, “…I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.” Because he knows that when he is full of joy, Satan cannot defeat him. Hallelujah!!!
Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4). One of the ways to express your joy, is to sing praise to the Lord. The Psalmist says in Psalms 9:2, “I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.” Take time out to sing praise to God. Make a joyful noise unto to Lord (Psalm 66:1) and rejoice evermore ( 2 Thesselonian 5:16).

Wise Action:
Take time out everyday to sing praise unto the Lord. Speaking to yourself in psalms and hymns, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.
